Autism Action Pty Ltd is a service which provides in-home therapy, support and guidance using a family-centred approach. CARERS VICTORIA - YOUNG CARERS

Young carers are people aged up to and including 25 years of age who help provide care in families where someone has a chronic illness, a disability, or mental illness; is frail aged;or has an alcohol or other drug problem.

Services include Carer Advisory Line, Counselling, Carer Education, Library, information, referral and resource information. Carers Victoria provide training for service providers and employ a part time Community Development and Education worker to raise awareness of young carers in the community.

Who is it for? Young carers aged up to and including 25 years and their families. Service providers and health professionals.

Deaf Children Australia recognises that, given the right support, deafness should not be a barrier to children and young people doing and being anything they desire. We provide the support services needed to help children and young people fulfil their potential. Deaf Children Australia is the only national provider of information and advocacy support to deaf and hard of hearing children and young people and their families.

Down Syndrome Victoria is the state-wide peak membership organisation representing individuals with Down Syndrome and their families. INTERCHANGE OUTER EAST - FAMILY SUPPORT

A non-profit, community based organisation which provides support to families who have a child or young person with a disability.

MOTHERS can relax, have some ‘time out’ and enjoy the company of other women for 1 day each term plus an annual weekend away in November. Activities include day or night outings to markets, theatre restaurants, picnics, boat trips, afternoon teas, lunches etc.
FATHERS’ activities consist of occasional weekend camps, some of which are structured to discuss specific issues, plus occasional activity days. Father and child days are also planned. The program provides fathers with the opportunity to relax, have fun and enjoy the companionship and support of other fathers.
ANNUAL FAMILY CAMP is held over the long weekend of either March or June and offers an opportunity for families to join socially with other families for a weekend of fun, activity and relaxation. Interchange staff coordinate the camp and its activities. Some volunteer support is available to assist families.
FAMILY DAYS offer families the chance to have fun and socialise with other families.

Who is it for? Families living in the areas of Maroondah, Knox and Shire of Yarra Ranges.
