A non-profit, community based organisation which provides support to families who have a child or young person with a disability.
MOTHERS can relax, have some ‘time out’ and enjoy the company of other women for 1 day each term plus an annual weekend away in November. Activities include day or night outings to markets, theatre restaurants, picnics, boat trips, afternoon teas, lunches etc.
FATHERS’ activities consist of occasional weekend camps, some of which are structured to discuss specific issues, plus occasional activity days. Father and child days are also planned. The program provides fathers with the opportunity to relax, have fun and enjoy the companionship and support of other fathers.
ANNUAL FAMILY CAMP is held over the long weekend of either March or June and offers an opportunity for families to join socially with other families for a weekend of fun, activity and relaxation. Interchange staff coordinate the camp and its activities. Some volunteer support is available to assist families.
FAMILY DAYS offer families the chance to have fun and socialise with other families.

The Maroondah Carers Support Group is for carers of people of all ages and disabilities. The group gives carers the chance to discuss important social, emotional, financial, physical and spiritual needs with other carers. Activities also include guest speakers and social outings.
Who is it for? Carers of people with a disability living in Maroondah.

MS Australia Community Teams provide comprehensive clinical assessments, recommendations and education to support people with MS, their families and carers achieve optimal health and wellness and reduce the impact of symptoms associated with MS. Community Teams are staffed by a range of allied health professionals who specialise in supporting people with MS and other progressive neurological conditions.
Who is it for? People with Multiple Sclerosis and other neurological disorders.

A volunteer organisation assisting stroke survivors and their families throughout Victoria. It is a network of people whose lives have been changed by a stroke. These people now give their time supporting stroke survivors and spreading the message of stroke awareness to the community at large.
