Professional Writer for Mentor-in-Residence Pilot Project

Write-ability

A Mentor-in-Residence pilot project for writers with a disability.

Arts Access Victoria, in partnership with Writers Victoria, is pleased to announce the launch of Write-ability, a new pilot project to support writers with a disability wishing to advance their writing practice. The Write-ability pilot project will be led by an established writer working one day per week at Writers Victoria in Melbourne’s Wheeler Centre for Books, Writing and Ideas at the State Library of Victoria.

Are you an adult with cerebral palsy, aged 18-65 and able to walk?
Research Project – “Falls and Near Falls in Adults Ageing with Cerebral Palsy”

Many people with cerebral palsy have more difficulty walking as they get older. Some even stop walking altogether. It is thought that increasing difficulty with balance and falls may cause adults with cerebral palsy to stop or reduce the amount of walking they do as they get older.

Gymnastics Victoria - Survey

Gymnastics Victoria are about to conduct a research project on the benefits of gymnastics for children with a disability. We would like people with a disability, therapists (specialist services), support workers, teachers and parents of children with a disability to fill out this survey http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/7H6DZQN.

This survey will take roughly 4 minutes to complete and all responses will go towards shaping our research.

Disabled Persons Taxi Advisory Committee

Established in late 2008, the Disabled Persons Taxi Advisory Committee (DPTAC) gives taxi users with a disability, disability advocacy groups and others interested in taxi services for people with a disability an opportunity to provide advice and feedback to the Victorian Taxi Directorate (VTD) on policies and initiatives.
