In-Home Respite

In-home respite programs provide a trained worker who supply assistance and support to a person with a disability in their own home.  In-home respite programs offer an amount of hours in a particular period of time. This service is offered by some non-government organisations and Local Councils.

Every Local Government Area (LGA) has a Home and Community Care Program that provides subsidised respite for people with a disability.
