Flexible Respite and Brokerage

The term Flexible Respite refers to services that assist with the navigation of the respite service system.

The term Brokerage refers to the provision of a funding package to pay for respite provided in a flexible manner in order to meet the needs of an individual with a disability. The funding can be used to purchase a range of respite options that meets the need of the individual, their family and carers.

Some Flexible Respite options also have a small component of brokerage available.
