EARS provides free support, in-home and emergency after-hours assistance to eligible people finding themselves in unexpected times of need. EARS provides assistance for people with a disability, older people and their carers, including short-term personal care, telephone and in-home support, at no cost, after-hours.
Eligibility: This program is for older persons, people with a disability, or those who care for someone older or who has a disability. EARS is designed for people who don’t have access to an after-hours service (either not on a funded package or their agency doesn’t provide an after-hours service).
Program Hours: 5.00pm – 9.00am, Monday – Friday, and 24 hours on weekends and public holidays.

Eligibility: People caring for someone with a disability and residing in the Eastern Metropolitan Region.
