Able Australia – Holiday Program

Able Respite provides respite days during the school holidays for people with all disabilities, including Deafblindness.

Eligibility: People aged 6 - 64 years.
Program Hours: One or two days during the week.

Manningham YMCA – Leisure Access Program (SHLAP)

The Leisure Access Program (LAP) is a recreational and social program developed for teenagers and young adults in the Manningham area living with disabilities.

A variety of programs are offered, which are suitable to each particular group's needs and interests whilst also providing respite for parents and carers. Activities are run as either a day program on a Saturday or an evening program on a Wednesday, dependent upon the group. School holiday programs (SHLAP) also offer an opportunity for all the LAP members to get to know each other and socialise with their friends. All groups are fully supervised and supported by qualified and enthusiastic staff during each activity.

Eligibility: Three groups:
• Red: High needs, challenging behaviour
• Green: 12-25 (approx) years old
• Rap: Quite independent over 25 years
Program Hours: Variable, weekdays during school holidays.

Villa Maria – Summer Holiday Program

The Summer Holiday Program provides an opportunity to make lasting friendships, have fun, get involved in the community and develop independence skills, by participating in an exciting range of recreation programs for adults with a disability. Activities are age appropriate, fun and challenging, and provide great opportunities to make new friends and explore a variety of actities.

Eligibility: People aged 16 years - 64 years living in the Eastern Metropolitan Region of Melbourne
Program Hours: 15 days during the December - January school holidays
